Wikipedia:64 In medicine (gastroenterology), angiodysplasia is a small vascular malformation of the gut. It is a... more...

MalaCards: Angiodysplasia, also known as angiodysplasia of stomach and duodenum with hemorrhage, is related to hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia and arteriovenous malformation. An important gene associated with Angiodysplasia is ACVRL1 (activin A receptor type II-like 1), and among its related pathways are TGF-beta/Smad Signaling and HIF-1-alpha transcription factor network. The compounds aspartate and heparin have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include lymph node, small intestine and colon, and related mouse phenotypes are cardiovascular system and homeostasis/metabolism.
