Disease Ontology:8 A parasitic helminthiasis infectious disease that involves parasitic infection of the intestine, central nervous system and eyes by angiostrongylus cantonensis or angiostrongylus costaricensis.

MalaCards: Angiostrongyliasis is related to eosinophilic meningitis and meningoencephalitis. An important gene associated with Angiostrongyliasis is SNAI2 (snail family zinc finger 2), and among its related pathways are Leishmaniasis and IL12 signaling mediated by STAT4. The compounds amphotericin b and hydrocortisone have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include whole blood, colon and kidney, and related mouse phenotypes are reproductive system and endocrine/exocrine gland.
