Wikipedia:63 Chorioretinitis is an inflammation of the choroid (thin pigmented vascular coat of the eye) and retina... more...

MalaCards: Chorioretinitis, also known as other and unspecified forms of chorioretinitis and retinochoroiditis, is related to retinitis and chorioretinal scar. An important gene associated with Chorioretinitis is TEAD1 (TEA domain family member 1 (SV40 transcriptional enhancer factor)), and among its related pathways are the visual cycle I (vertebrates) and Visual phototransduction. The compounds 11-cis-retinol and copper have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include retina, eye and liver, and related mouse phenotypes are pigmentation and homeostasis/metabolism.
