MalaCards: Cleft Palate, also known as uranostaphyloschisis, is related to cleft lip and van der woude syndrome. An important gene associated with Cleft Palate is TBX22 (T-box 22), and among its related pathways are PAK Pathway and NF-KappaB Family Pathway. The compounds retinoic acid and thymidine have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include bone, tongue and heart, and related mouse phenotypes are craniofacial and mortality/aging.
