Wikipedia:63 Hemiplegia /he.mə.pliː.dʒiə/ is paralysis of the arm, leg, and trunk on the same side of the body.... more...

MalaCards: Hemiplegia, also known as postnatal infantile hemiplegia nos, is related to alternating hemiplegia of childhood and spastic hemiplegia. An important gene associated with Hemiplegia is ATP1A2 (ATPase, Na+/K+ transporting, alpha 2 polypeptide), and among its related pathways are Sodium-coupled transporters and pumps and Bile secretion. The compounds lithium carbonate and estrogen have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include brain, bone and testes, and related mouse phenotypes are homeostasis/metabolism and nervous system.
