NINDS:45 For several decades the term ?tropical spastic paraparesis? (TSP) has been used to describe a chronic and progressive disease of the nervous system that affects adults living in equatorial areas of the world and causes

MalaCards: Htlv-1 Associated Myelopathy, also known as myelopathy, htlv-1-associated, is related to t-cell leukemia and leukemia. An important gene associated with Htlv-1 Associated Myelopathy is CX3CR1 (chemokine (C-X3-C motif) receptor 1), and among its related pathways are TNF Signaling and Apoptosis. The compounds ccl3 and imiquimod have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include t cells, brain and spinal cord, and related mouse phenotypes are renal/urinary system and integument.
