Wikipedia:66 A hypertrophic scar is a cutaneous condition characterized by deposits of excessive amounts of collagen... more...

MalaCards: Hypertrophic Scars, also known as scars hypertrophic, is related to keloids and epidermolysis bullosa simplex. An important gene associated with Hypertrophic Scars is AGTR2 (angiotensin II receptor, type 2), and among its related pathways are Response to elevated platelet cytosolic Ca2+ and Angiogenesis. The compounds dithranol and calcipotriol have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include skin, endothelial and breast, and related mouse phenotypes are integument and craniofacial.
