Wikipedia:64 A lipoma is a benign tumor composed of adipose tissue (body fat). It is the most common benign form of... more...

MalaCards: Lipoma, also known as familial multiple lipomatosis, is related to myxoid liposarcoma and adenoma. An important gene associated with Lipoma is LPP (LIM domain containing preferred translocation partner in lipoma), and among its related pathways are Inhibition of Ribosome Biogenesis by p14(ARF) and Prostate Cancer. The compounds roscovitine and benzo(a)pyrene have been mentioned in the context of this disorder.

Disease Ontology:8 A cell type benign neoplasm that is composed of lipocytes.
