MalaCards: Lung Carcinoma, also known as lung cancer, is related to carcinoma and prostatitis, and has symptoms including cough, chest discomfort or pain and weight loss. An important gene associated with Lung Carcinoma is MYCL1 (v-myc myelocytomatosis viral oncogene homolog 1, lung carcinoma derived (avian)), and among its related pathways are Rho Family GTPases and Estrogen Pathway. The drugs carmustine and diethylstilbestrol diphosphate and the compounds calcium and paclitaxel have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include the lungs, bone marrow and whole blood, and related mouse phenotypes are homeostasis/metabolism and cellular. Disease Ontology: A lung cancer that is located in the lungs and has symptom cough and has symptom chest discomfort or pain and has symptom weight loss and has symptom hemoptysis.6 CDC: More people die from lung cancer than any other type of cancer. In the United States in 2008,* 208,493 people were diagnosed with lung cancer, and 158,592 people died from it.† CDC has a number of programs for preventing and controlling lung cancer.2 Wikipedia: Lung cancer is a disease characterized by uncontrolled cell growth in tissues of the lung.
