Disease Ontology: An idiopathic interstitial pneumonia that occurs mainly in women, people who do not smoke, and people younger than 50 years with no known cause or risk factors. lung biopsies may show predominantly interstitial inflammation or fibrosis or a combination of inflammation and fibrosis. a dry cough and shortness of breath develop over 6 to 18 months. low-grade fever and a feeling of illness (malaise) may occur.6

MalaCards: Nonspecific Interstitial Pneumonia, also known as nonspecific interstitial pneumonia (disorder), is related to usual interstitial pneumonia and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. An important gene associated with Nonspecific Interstitial Pneumonia is FOXF1 (forkhead box F1), and among its related pathways are RAR-Gamma-RXR-Alpha Degradation and NFAT Signaling and Lymphocyte Interactions. The compounds sp 600125 and endotoxin have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include lung, and related mouse phenotypes are respiratory system and hematopoietic system.
