CDC:3 Relapsing fever is bacterial infection characterized by recurring episodes of fever, headache, muscle and joint aches, and nausea. It is caused by certain species of Borrelia spirochetes. There are two types of relapsing fever:

MalaCards: Relapsing Fever, also known as relapsing fever, unspecified, is related to tick-borne relapsing fever and lyme disease. An important gene associated with Relapsing Fever is MVK (mevalonate kinase). The compounds mevalonate and colchicine have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include brain, testes and b cells, and related mouse phenotype hematopoietic system.

Disease Ontology:8 A primary bacterial infectious disease that results in infection, has material basis in borrelia, which is transmitted by tick or transmitted by body louse.
