CDC:3 Sepsis is an illness that affects all parts of the body that can happen in response to an infection and can quickly become life-threatening.

MalaCards: Septic Shock, also known as shock septic, is related to pneumonia and disseminated intravascular coagulation. An important gene associated with Septic Shock is TNF (tumor necrosis factor), and among its related pathways are Pertussis and Development PDGF signaling via STATs and NF-kB. The drugs epinephrine hydrochloride and dexamethasone and the compounds vegf and nitric oxide have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Related mouse phenotypes are immune system and mortality/aging.

Wikipedia:63 Septic shock is a medical condition as a result of severe infection and sepsis, though the microbe may... more...
