Wikipedia:64 Spondylosis is a term referring to degenerative osteoarthritis of the joints between the center of the... more...

MalaCards: Spondylosis, also known as spondylogenic compression of thoracic spinal cord, is related to atherosclerosis and osteoarthritis. An important gene associated with Spondylosis is TSSK4 (testis-specific serine kinase 4), and among its related pathways are Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) metabolism and RXR and RAR heterodimerization with other nuclear receptor. The compounds doxercalciferol and (1R,3R)-5-[(2E)-3-{(1S,3R)-2,2,3-trimethyl-3-[6,6,6-trifluoro-5-hydroxy-5-(trifluoromethyl)hex-3-yn-1-yl]cyclopentyl}prop-2-en-1-ylidene]cyclohexane-1,3-diol have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include vertebral column, spinal cord and cortex, and related mouse phenotypes are limbs/digits/tail and skeleton.

Disease Ontology:8 An bone structure disease that involves degeneration between vertebra located in vertebral column.
