Wikipedia:64 Thrombophlebitis is phlebitis (vein inflammation) related to a thrombus (blood clot). When it occurs... more...

MalaCards: Thrombophlebitis, also known as phlebitis and thrombophlebitis of superficial vessels of lower extremities, is related to mondor disease and venous thrombosis. An important gene associated with Thrombophlebitis is APOH (apolipoprotein H (beta-2-glycoprotein I)), and among its related pathways are Dissolution of Fibrin Clot and PTM: gamma carboxylation, hypusine formation and arylsulfatase activation. The drugs heparin and heparin sodium and the compounds aspartate and warfarin have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include skin, liver and tongue, and related mouse phenotypes are integument and cardiovascular system.
