MalaCards: Uterine Fibroid, also known as plexiform leiomyoma, is related to myoma and uterine sarcoma. An important gene associated with Uterine Fibroid is FH (fumarate hydratase), and among its related pathways is Vitamin A and carotenoid metabolism. The compounds retinoic acid and vitamin a have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include skin, kidney and spleen.
