Summaries for Fusariosis

Disease Ontology : 12 An opportunistic mycosis that involves localized or hematogenously disseminated fungal infection by Fusarium solani or Fusarium oxysporum. Skin lesions are seen in neutropenic patients, and indolent cellulitis or soft-tissue necrosis occur in immunocompromised patients at the site of trauma.

MalaCards based summary : Fusariosis, also known as fusarium infection, is related to invasive aspergillosis and fungal infectious disease. An important gene associated with Fusariosis is POLR2B (RNA Polymerase II Subunit B), and among its related pathways/superpathways are mRNA Splicing - Minor Pathway and Transcriptional regulation of pluripotent stem cells. The drugs Voriconazole and Posaconazole have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include skin, myeloid and kidney, and related phenotypes are positive blood 1,3 beta glucan test and fever
