Summaries for Sutton Disease 2

NIH Rare Diseases : 53 Sutton disease 2, also known as recurrent aphthous stomatitis, is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by painful ulcers in the mouth. These sores, which can be of varying size and frequency, are commonly called canker sores. The exact cause of this condition is not fully understood, although it may be due to an abnormal immune response. Treatment is not always necessary, but may include mouth rinses, topical ointments or systemic corticosteroids.

MalaCards based summary : Sutton Disease 2, also known as recurrent aphthous stomatitis, is related to aphthous stomatitis and stomatitis. An important gene associated with Sutton Disease 2 is VPS13B (Vacuolar Protein Sorting 13 Homolog B). Affiliated tissues include testes, neutrophil and thyroid.
